Introduction
Greetings!
My name is Nichole Bearor, but that's kind of formal, so usually people just call me Nikki. I am applying for an Early Childhood Education License with an endorsement in birth to grade three. During my many years in the field, I have worked with infants, toddlers and preschoolers, I also have some experience with children ages five to 12 as an assistant director, and more recently a co-director, of a summer day camp. I was also able to experience a combined Kindergarten and First grade classroom while the teacher was away on medical leave. During that time, I developed lesson plans in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Religion. It was a wonderful experience.
I have spent great amounts of time in the Early Childhood Field, and at first wasn't sure if this was the place for me. But as the years have advanced, I have come to realize that there is nothing more thrilling than seeing the joy on the face of a young child when he/she finally masters a task that they have been working so diligently on.
The process of gathering evidence for this portfolio has been a tremendous opportunity for growth. I have grown in my teaching practices, my professional relationships, and as an individual. I am thankful for this experience, and hope that it continues to lead me in paths of learning and growth.

All About Me
I have been teaching in the field of Early Childhood Education since January of 2001. During that time I have grown, learned and taught children ranging from the ages of six weeks to 12 years in various settings.
When not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, serving at my church, reading and playing the piano.
