PS9: Complies with state and federal legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to early childhood educators and programs

Evidence 1:  Child Care License

Description:  This is the license issued from the Child Development Division.

Analysis:  Our program has been visited and found in compliance with the regulations set forth by the Child Development Division of the state of Vermont.  I have a copy of these regulations displayed in my classroom where parents, other teachers, and I can look at them if we have a question regarding ratios, classroom set-up or routines.

Evidence 2:  CPR/First Aid Certification

Description:  This is a copy of my CPR and First Aid certification.

Analysis:  As indicated by the Child Development Division Regulations, I annually renew my Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Aid certification.  As I do this, I am reminded about creating a safe environment for my students that reduces the risk of injury, and am able to assist if injury does occur.

Evidence 3:  STARs Certificate

Description:  This is a photograph of our STARS Certificate.

Analysis:  Our annual renewal for our STARS certificate aids in assessing the classroom environment, making sure that my training hours are current, and that our program is in compliance with all other areas of certification.
